The combined market capitalisation of all listed companies of the Aditya Birla Group crossed the $100 billion mark for the first time on Friday. The group achieved this milestone on the back of a rally in group companies UltraTech Cement, Hindalco and Vodafone Idea. At Friday's closing price, the combined market capitalisation of the group's 12 listed companies was Rs 8.5 lakh crore, valued at $102 billion. The market capitalisation of group companies is projected to grow 11 per cent in 2024, almost double the nearly 6 per cent gain seen in the Sensex and Nifty in this period. The group's total m cap has increased by $34 billion in the last one year. The group has a total of 12 listed companies, but UltraTech Cement's share in the total market capitalisation is 36 per cent. The total market capitalisation of this company is Rs. 2.95 lakh crore, making it the third most valuable company in the world. Another group company Grasim Industries is in second place with a 20 per cent share in the group's total market capitalisation. The market cap of this company has doubled in the last three years. However, Vodafone Idea has registered the highest increase in terms of market cap of group companies in the last one year. The market cap of this company has tripled in the last one year. Listed group financial companies like Aditya Birla Capital, Aditya Birla Sunlife AMC and Aditya Birla Money account for 9 percent of the total market cap of the group.
