Hisar, June 18 (HS). Hisar Range ADGP Dr. M. Ravi Kiran has taken several decisions in view of the welfare of the police personnel of the range. On Tuesday, he approved a scholarship amount of Rs 30 lakh 19 thousand to encourage the meritorious children of police officers and employees of all the districts of the range. Along with this, the ADGP has also given instructions to run training programs to keep the police personnel and their families stress free.

ADGP Dr. M Ravi Kiran on Tuesday directed the Superintendents of Police of the range to draw the sanctioned amount from the Police Welfare Fund and give it to the concerned students through their parents. He said that the scholarship amount will motivate the children of police employees and officers to study and achieve their goals by demonstrating their ability in the examinations.

ADGP informed that the scholarship amount given to the meritorious children of Haryana Police officers and employees has been doubled as compared to earlier. The scholarship amount for meritorious students of class 10th has been increased to Rs.5000. Similarly, the scholarship amount for meritorious students of class 12th has been doubled to Rs.6000. The scholarship amount has been increased to Rs.8000 for graduation degree, Rs.10000 for children studying in post graduation or its equivalent, Rs.8000 for children studying engineering diploma or its equivalent. The scholarship amount has been increased to Rs.30000 for students studying MBBS, MPhil, PhD LLM, CA, Architecture, Veterinary Surgeon etc.

In the list of 286 meritorious students of all the districts of Hisar Range, 126 students getting scholarship are from District Police Hisar, for whom a total amount of Rs. 13 lakh 88 thousand has been sanctioned. An amount of Rs. 5 lakh 84 thousand has been sanctioned for 52 students of District Police Jind, Rs. 3 lakh 57 thousand for 42 meritorious students of Police District Hansi, Rs. 3 lakh 15 thousand for 31 students of Police District Fatehabad, Rs. 2 lakh 74 thousand for 24 students of Sirsa. An amount of Rs. 1 lakh 1 thousand has been sanctioned for 11 meritorious students of the newly created Police District Dabwali.
