During the meeting in the Collectorate auditorium, the DC first reviewed the work done so far in the light of the instructions given in the earlier meeting. On the occasion, information about the works being done under Multi Village Scheme, Single Village Scheme, ODF Plus etc. in different areas under Ramgarh district was given through PPT presentation by Executive Engineer Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Anil Gupta and Nirbhay Kumar of UNICEF's associate organization. was given.
Water supply schemes should work regularly
The DC directed to immediately register an FIR and take other action in any matter falling under essential services including water supply. DC directed to ensure regular functioning of all water supply schemes operated under Jal Jeevan Mission.
Instructions to review work progress
In order to review the ODF Plus works, DC gave necessary instructions regarding construction of community action plan soak pit, NADEP, vermi compost, compost pit, plastic collection point and incinerator to get the villages rated under ODF Plus. In this regard, the DC directed the Executive Engineer Drinking Water and Sanitation Division to organize regular meetings and review the work progress.
Instructions to ensure functioning of hand pumps in different areas of the district
Under Jal Jeevan Mission, a total of 141639 houses identified in the district are to be provided tap water. The Executive Engineer told the DC that till now water supply connections have been provided to a total of 97857 houses. Work is being done at a fast pace to complete the remaining works. Also, under the Multi Village Scheme, the work of Barughutu Multi Village Scheme, Oorlung Multi Village Scheme and Patratu Census Town Multi Village Scheme is under construction in Patratu block. In view of the upcoming summer season, the DC directed the Executive Engineer to ensure the functioning of water pipes in different areas of the district and to take immediate action if any information related to water pipe failure is received from any area.
Take action on complaints regarding electricity supply works
In the course of reviewing the power supply works, DC gave necessary instructions to the Executive Engineer Electricity Division Ramgarh and Executive Engineer Electricity Division Kuju to ensure electricity supply to schools and other government buildings in their areas.
