New Delhi, June 27 (HS). Delhi's Saket Court, while hearing the complaint of industrialist Bina Modi's personal security officer against her son Sameer Modi for assault, has summoned an action taken report from Delhi Police. Metropolitan Magistrate Arindam Singh Cheema has directed Delhi Police to file an action taken report by July 12.
Bina Modi's personal security officer Surendra Prasad Ram has filed the petition. The petitioner has served 20 years in CRPF and two years in NSG. Now he is serving as Bina Modi's personal security officer. During the hearing, senior advocate Vikas Pahwa, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, said that on May 30, the private security officer was posted on duty at the gate of Godfrey Phillips India Limited. On May 30, the company's board meeting was going on at Omaxe Square in Jasola. The private security officer was performing his duty during the board meeting. Then Sameer Modi reached there and forcibly tried to enter the board meeting, while the room in which the meeting was going on was closed. The private security officer came in between the room's gate and Sameer Modi, after which Sameer Modi caught the collar of the private security officer and beat him up. Pahwa played the CCTV footage in the court, in which Sameer Modi and Surendra Prasad Ram were visible.
Pahwa said that the complainant has filed two complaints against Sameer Modi regarding this incident. But the police have registered an FIR on the complaint filed by Sameer Modi regarding this incident. In the FIR filed by Sameer Modi, it is said that his mother Bina Modi planned the attack on him. Sameer Modi has said in his complaint that Bina Modi and the board members of the company are very influential, so action should be taken against them.
Let us tell you that there is already a dispute going on between Bina Modi and her family regarding dominance over the company. While hearing the petition of Sameer Modi in a case related to this, Saket Court has directed Bina Modi and other directors of the company not to remove Sameer Modi from the board.
