Balaotara, 26 July (HS). Pachpadara police of the district has seized a huge cache of weapons while taking action against illegal weapons. Illegal gun manufacturers and suppliers have been arrested. The police team has recovered handmade illegal cap guns, gunpowder, pellets, caps, gun manufacturing material and tools. Police had received information that illegal guns were being manufactured in Ghadoi Nadi Janiyana.
On this, a team was formed under the leadership of Pachpadara Police Station Officer Amararam Khokhar and the house was raided. An illegal arms manufacturing factory was found in the house. Papuram was detained on this. Three cap guns, a packet of gunpowder, 11 pellets, 180 brass caps, three barrels and other material used for making illegal guns, a welding machine and tools were recovered from the possession of the accused Papuram without any valid license or permit.
SP Kundan Kanwaria said that a cap gun and other items have been confiscated by raiding an illegal arms manufacturing factory in Janiyana village. Gun manufacturer accused Papuram son Dungarram resident Ghadoi Nadi, Janiyana Pachpadara has been arrested. A case has been registered against the accused under the Arms Act. The accused is being questioned as to where he used to get the arms manufacturing material from. To whom has he sold the arms before? At present, the police is investigating the entire matter.
