This rule will not apply to handicapped persons or women. If there are more than 4 lakh candidates, the exam will be conducted in two phases. Permission has been given to conduct the PCS exam in a single shift. To prevent tampering in preparing the result, the OMR sheets will be scanned in the commission and board itself.

The question paper will also have a secret code. A secret code such as unique barcode, QR code, serial number will have to be entered on each page of the question paper. Information about the series can be obtained if needed. There will be tamper-proof multi-layer packaging of boxes for bringing and taking the question paper. Sufficient time will be given to set the question paper.
