Ranchi, March 03 (Hindus). Action has been taken against the Public Distribution System shopkeeper of Nagdi block. District Supply Officer Pradeep Bhagat on Sunday suspended the license (license number-02/96) of ration dealer Saran Tirkey of Saparom Panchayat. A complaint was received against Public Distribution System shopkeeper Sharan Tirkey for extorting money from the card holder in the name of getting the ration card printed. Also, the work of giving food grains to the ration card holders was being done by the dealer by weighing them using scales instead of digital weighing machines.
After receiving the complaint, a surprise inspection was conducted by District Supply Officer Pradeep Bhagat. During investigation by District Supply Officer and Marketing Officer Uttam Kumar, the complaint was found to be true, after which the dealer's license was suspended.
