Acharya Vidyasagar ji's ashes were deposited, the urn will be buried in the ground, Samadhi will be built at the same place – News India Live

Raipur, 20 February (HS). After the demise of Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, his ashes were collected on Tuesday. The bones are kept in an urn after purification. Acharya Shri passed away at around 2:35 am on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday. His last rites were performed as per Jain tradition on Sunday.

In Jainism, ashes are not immersed in water. The ashes of Acharya Vidya Sagar ji were collected in an urn. After that it will be pressed into the ground. His mausoleum will be built at the place where the urn will be buried.

The cremation ceremony of Vidyasagar ji's ashes took place at Chandragiri Teerth in Dongargarh in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh in the company of revered sage Shri Ocean Ji. People are coming from many states including Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Odisha to collect the ashes of Acharya ji.

The throne will be handed over to Muni Samay Sagar Maharaj-

Acharya Vidya Sagar ji had resigned from the post of Acharya after discussion with Muni Yoga Sagar on 6th February. He had announced to give the post of Acharya to Muni Samay Sagar Ji Maharaj. After Muni Samay Sagar reaches Chandragiri Tirtha, he will be formally handed over the throne of Acharya. Muni Samay Sagar ji will reach Dogargarh from Balaghat on 22nd February after traveling on foot with 43 sadhus. There he will be formally handed over the throne of Acharya.
