Disclosing the murder case in Kotwali Roorkee, SSP Pramendra Dobal said that the deceased was identified as Nitin alias Guddu, son of Naresh Kumar, resident of 77 West Amber Pond, Roorkee. The deceased was murdered by some unknown person with a sharp weapon. In connection with the case, a case was registered in Kotwali Roorkee on the complaint of deceased's brother Gaurav, son of Narendra, resident of 79 West Amber Pond, Ganganagar.
The SSP said that he had given instructions to form five police teams to uncover the murder case and quickly arrest the murderer involved in the incident. CO Roorkee Narendra Pant has identified the accused of murder as Sajid, resident of Islamnagar Roorkee. He has already gone to jail in some case. At the behest of the accused, the knife used in the murder was recovered from the sand near the spot.
