Ranchi, 05 July (HS). Bariatu police station has arrested a criminal in the case of snatching a gold chain from a woman. The name of the arrested criminal is Mohd Asif Ansari. He is a resident of Kasai Mohalla of Lower Bazaar police station area.
SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha said on Friday that on March 24, unknown criminals snatched the gold chain from the neck of Nisha Jha, wife of Prabhat Kumar Jha, a resident of Bariatu and escaped. Looking at the seriousness of the case, a team was formed under the leadership of the station in-charge. During the investigation, the team arrested the accused from RIMS campus. The accused accepted his involvement in the case. Criminal cases are already registered against the arrested accused in five police stations.
