Odisha Bhajan Mandali accident news: At least seven members of a bhajan troupe were killed when a trailer collided with them due to fog in Odisha's Sundergarh district on Saturday morning, creating chaos in the village. Five other people were seriously injured in the accident. Sundargarh police officials said the bhajan mandal singers were returning to their respective villages after attending a funeral on Saturday morning when the driver rammed into a parked trailer, killing six people on the spot, while Another died during treatment.

Earlier, the bhajan troupes from Kandadhuda and Samarpinda villages of Sundargarh had gone to Chakbahal in Chhattisgarh for the Shraddha ritual and all were returning in a Maruti van. Giving information about the incident, South Western Range DIG Brijesh Rai said, “The accident happened at around 2 o'clock in the night. The members of the bhajan group were returning home in a Maruti van. At that very moment the car collided with a parked trailer. It was so horrific that seven people including the driver were seriously injured and were taken to a nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead.
