In this insurance, the entire family gets insurance which is Rs 10 lakh per member. Out of this, different amounts have been fixed in case of loss of property, treatment and in case of death. Overall, the insurance cover for the entire family is up to a maximum of Rs 50 lakh. In case of an accident, a maximum of Rs 40 lakh can be claimed with conditions and a maximum of Rs 50 lakh in case of death due to cylinder explosion.
These conditions must be met for a claim
There are some important conditions to avail this insurance, which must be fulfilled. The first condition is that the claim benefit is available only to those people whose cylinder pipe, stove and regulator have ISI mark. For the claim, you should get the cylinder and stove checked regularly.
Apart from this, the customer will have to inform his distributor and police station about the accident within 30 days of the accident.
During the claim, documents like copy of accident FIR, medical receipt, hospital bill, postmortem report and death certificate are required. It is important for you to have all these documents.
You cannot make anyone a nominee in this policy. Apart from this, the compensation amount will be given only if the accident occurs at the registered residence.
