While conducting a raid in the Naxal-affected Amabeda area of ​​the district, the Anti Corruption Bureau team from Jagdalpur has arrested Parmeshwar Gautam, a clerk posted in the tehsil office of Amabeda, and one of his assistants, Rekhchand Yadav, for taking bribe. The whole matter: Clerk Parmeshwar Gautam was taking bribe by calling the victim on Phufgaon road outside the office in lieu of payment of compensation amount of Rs 4 lakh to be received from the government after his death due to snakebite. Meanwhile, his assistant employee Rekhchand Yadav was taking a bribe of Rs 10 thousand. Along with this, the ACB team has arrested both the accused red handed.

According to the information received, applicant Amar Singh Hupendi of village Arra, Tehsil Amabeda, District North Bastar Kanker had complained to the Anti Corruption Bureau Jagdalpur that the compensation amount of Rs 4 lakh to be received from the government after the death of his cousin Radheshyam Hupendi due to snakebite was not received. In return for completing the process, Babu Parmeshwar Gautam of Amabeda Tehsil Office has demanded a bribe of Rs 25 thousand, on which the applicant had already given Rs 4 thousand. The applicant did not want to give bribe, and wanted to get the accused caught red-handed taking bribe. After verification of the complaint, the team of Anti Corruption Bureau organized a trap on Thursday and accused Parmeshwar Gautam was caught red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 as next installment from the applicant through his associate Rekhchand Yadav. Both the accused, Parmeshwar Gautam and Rekhchand Yadav, have been arrested and action is being taken against them under the provisions of Section 7 PC Act 1988.
