Kanpur, 13 April (HS). The police of Anwarganj police station has arrested a person who was absconding in a rape case with a reward of Rs 25,000 late on Saturday evening. The police took legal action against him and sent him to jail.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Central R.S. Gautam told that the arrested accused is Imran alias Jibran Ali, resident of Karim Building located in Chamanganj police station area. A case has been registered against him in Anwarganj police station under other sections including rape. The police was searching for him but he was dodging the police.
As part of the campaign being run against criminals under the direction of the Police Commissioner, on Saturday, on the information of an informer, Sub-Inspector of Anwarganj police station Prem Narayan Sharma and his team succeeded in arresting them.
