Kolkata, August 28 (HS). Trinamool Congress's All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee finally broke his silence on the events that took place at R.G. Kar Medical College and demanded the arrest of former Principal of R.G. Kar Medical College Sandip Ghosh, who is facing corruption charges. He questioned the CBI and asked why Sandip Ghosh has not been arrested even after 14 days.
There are many serious allegations of corruption against former principal of R.G. Kar Medical College, Sandip Ghosh. There have been complaints of corruption against him earlier also, but no concrete action was taken against him. In a program organized on Mayo Road on the foundation day of TMCP, Abhishek Banerjee spoke openly on this matter for the first time and demanded the arrest of Sandip Ghosh. He said that the case was with the Kolkata Police for four days. On the 14th, the court handed over the case to the CBI. But why was Sandip Ghosh not arrested even after 14 days? The CBI will have to answer this.
After this statement of Abhishek Banerjee, it is being claimed that he also wants Sandeep Ghosh to be arrested.
Sandip Ghosh, who has always been considered an influential person, has many serious allegations of corruption against him. He is accused of being involved in illegal smuggling of hospital dead bodies to hospital waste. The total amount of these scams is said to be in crores. Not only this, Akhtar Ali, former Deputy Super of RG Kar Medical College, was the first to make allegations of corruption against Sandip Ghosh, but no investigation was done on those allegations. Akhtar Ali was transferred, while Sandip Ghosh remained in RG Kar. There has been a discussion about the corruption allegations against him for a long time, but he has not been arrested yet.
Questions are being raised on social media regarding the arrest of Sandeep Ghosh. Some people say that Sandeep Ghosh is so powerful that he has influence even on the Chief Minister. Now, when Abhishek Banerjee has also raised questions in this matter, the discussion has intensified within the Trinamool Congress as well. Abhishek Banerjee said that we respect those women who took to the streets at night and protested and demanded a better society. We should take strict action against the culprits and the real culprits should be punished.
This development has brought a new twist in West Bengal politics and now it will be interesting to see what action the CBI takes in this matter.
