Kolkata, 04 November (HS). R.G. The parents of tax victim Dr Abhaya have now met state opposition party leader Shubhendu Adhikari for justice for their daughter. On Monday, Abhaya's father appealed to Subhendu Adhikari, “Please arrange justice for your sister.” In response, Shubhendu Adhikari assured that I am with you. I will stand with you until you get justice.
Earlier, the victim's parents had written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting his intervention in the matter and also expressed their desire to meet. However, when Amit Shah came to Kolkata, he was not able to meet him. Later there were speculations that Abhaya's parents could go to Delhi and meet Amit Shah.
It is noteworthy that R.G. Junior doctors have been protesting continuously for more than two months demanding justice for Abhaya, who was raped and murdered in Kar Hospital. Even now the doctors' movement is continuing in some form or the other and they are continuously protesting, sometimes through social media and sometimes through various events.
