Stabbed Parents: A horrific incident has come to light in Karimganj district of Assam. Here a 37-year-old son has slit the throat of his elderly parents. He has done this kind of cruelty by coming on Facebook Live. Everyone was stunned to see the live video on social media. Police officers were also shocked to see the indifference of the accused. The police have arrested the accused. According to the police, he recorded the incident and went live on Facebook.
A senior policeman of Karimganj's Neelam Bazar police station said that the incident took place around 2.30 pm on Sunday and the man was arrested the same evening. The police officer said that in the initial investigation, it seems that the accused is not mentally unstable. We have registered a case and started investigation. The accused has been identified as Abdul Halim. He is a resident of Brahmanshasan village in Karimganj. He lived in the same house with his elderly parents.
There was a heated argument with the parents before the incident
According to locals, Abdul first thrashed his parents during a heated argument and later attacked them with a sharp weapon. Police said, “We found a video on Facebook in which the accused is seen going to the area on a bicycle. After which we managed to catch him from that area.
Police said Abdul was arrested under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code and will be produced in court after the preliminary investigation is completed. Abdul's parents died on the spot and a police team took possession of the bodies in the evening, after which they were sent to Karimganj Civil Hospital for postmortem, officials said.
