Aarti of Lord Ganesha, the protector of nature and symbol of divine knowledge was performed | News India

Varanasi, 07 September (HS). On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Namami Gange performed Aarti at Bada Ganesh Mandir in Lohatia on Saturday. After worshipping Lord Ganesh, who is the chief and the first among the five deities of Sanatan Dharma, wishes were made for welfare, happiness and prosperity in the country and the state.

During this time, Rajesh Shukla, the coordinator of Kashi region, also prayed to Lord Ganesha, the protector of nature and symbol of divine knowledge, to protect the environment. During this time, he said that the form of Lord Shri Ganesha described in the Puranas is such a huge metaphor that awakens our feelings towards nature and environment and makes us aware of our responsibilities towards them.

Bhajan Ganga flowed in the court of Prathamesh

The four day long Shri Ganesh Poojan festival of Kanya Kumbh Vaishya Halwai Samiti started on Saturday in Jagatganj. The committee installed the metal idol of Lord Vinayak after Shodashopachar pujan in its 62nd annual Shri Ganesh Pooja Mahotsav. Ganesh Poojan will be performed daily as per the rituals in the court for the next four days. On the fourth and last day, it will be immersed in the form of a Kalash. Then this idol will be kept at a fixed place till the next year. Where Poojan, Aarti and offering of Bhog will be performed daily for the whole year.

Program coordinator Manoj Gupta said that in the past years, seeing the uproar over idol immersion in the Ganga river, we all started installing metal idols and worship this idol throughout the year and organize special worship and events on these occasions. In the evening, the community members get together and organize Bhajan Sandhya. In the evening, artists from the community participated in the Bhajan Sandhya.
