AAP will contest Delhi assembly elections alone, will not form alliance with Congress

Aam Aadmi Party has decided that it will contest the Delhi assembly elections alone. Senior party leader Gopal Rai said that the alliance with Congress is for the Lok Sabha elections. We will contest the assembly elections alone. The party has taken this decision at a time when convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is in jail.

Let us tell you that Aam Aadmi Party and Congress contested the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi. Apart from Delhi, there was an alliance in Gujarat, Haryana and Chandigarh for the Lok Sabha elections. Aam Aadmi Party could not win even a single seat in Delhi, Gujarat and Haryana. In Punjab, the party contested the elections alone. AAP won three Lok Sabha seats there.

Gopal Rai also said, “Today there has been a meeting with the MLAs. Tomorrow there will be a meeting with all the councillors and on June 13 there will be a big meeting with all the workers of Delhi. Due to the code of conduct, development work has been stopped, it has been decided that every Saturday and Sunday the MLAs will get development work done in their area.
