What did Kejriwal's lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi say?
Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Kejriwal, asked whether it was necessary for the ED to arrest him? Just because you have power doesn't mean you have to make arrests? The right to arrest and its necessity are two different things. All the evidence is fabricated. What is the need for remand when you have everything? ED is mentioning only 3-4 names. Singhvi said that ED will have to prove the case of PMLA. Why Kejriwal's arrest? Where is the need for mere custodial interrogation? For the first time a Chief Minister has been arrested. Singhvi said that there is no need for arrest right now. He was arrested before the elections. Why such steps before elections? For the first time all your big leaders were arrested. Fair elections are the basis of the Constitution.
Remand sought on the basis of 28 pages of evidence
Meanwhile, ED also presented a chat in the court in which money transactions were discussed. In which it was told that the money will come in the form of cash or bank account. ED said that the money was sent to Goa through four routes. This evidence was found from a company of Vijay Nair. ED presented a total of 28 pages of evidence and on the basis of that sought Kejriwal's remand.
Of. Kavita gave you 100 crore rupees
On the other hand, ED also revealed in the court that BRS leader K Kavita had given Rs 100 crore to the Aam Aadmi Party. K.Kavitha is the daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao.
Vijay Nair played the role of middleman.
In the case of liquor policy scam in Delhi, ED told the court that Rs 45 crore was sent to Goa through Hawala. Many people were paid huge amounts of cash. Vijay Nair played the role of mediator in this.
ED gave the example of Manish Sisodia…
The court said that Manish Sisodia was also arrested in this case. He too has not got bail yet. Kejriwal is directly involved in Delhi's excise policy scam. He favored specific people for bribes. Vijay Nair was working for Kejriwal. Kejriwal asked for bribe from South Lobby!
Where was the scam money used…?
