First list of 20 candidates announced

Amid reports of an alliance with the Congress in Haryana, the Aam Aadmi Party announced its first list of candidates yesterday. In this list, the party announced the names of 20 candidates. The Aam Aadmi Party released its list of candidates at a time when both the parties were discussing an alliance and no formal announcement was made by AAP or Congress on whether the alliance would happen or not.

Congress's dream of alliance shattered

As soon as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced 2 lists of 29 candidates for Haryana assembly elections, the dream of alliance with Congress has been shattered. Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi had held a meeting with the Congress leaders of the state some time ago and hinted at an alliance. But the alliance could not happen due to two votes in the party and some conditions of AAP.

Congress was giving weak seats to AAP

According to Congress leaders, the biggest reason for the non-alignment between Congress and AAP was the selection of seats. Congress was not ready to give up seats like Kalayat, Pehowa, Jind, Guhla and Sohna. Whereas according to AAP sources, Congress was giving them weak seats.
