New Delhi, 6 September (HS). Controversial leader of Aam Aadmi Party and MLA from Seemapuri area Rajendra Pal Gautam joined Congress on Friday. He came in the news for taking an oath in Delhi's Ambedkar Bhawan that he will not worship Ram and Krishna. Due to this, he had to lose his ministerial post in Delhi government.
He took the party membership in the presence of Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal, State Congress President Devendra Yadav and party leader Pawan Khera.
After joining Congress, Gautam said that in the last 10 years, the frenzy in the country has increased a lot. Dalits are being oppressed. In such a situation, during the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', Rahul Gandhi gave the slogan – 'We have come to open the shop of love in the market of hatred'. He said that there should be social justice in the country, everyone should get participation. Inspired by the thoughts of Rahul Gandhi, he is joining the Congress today.
KC Venugopal said that Rajendra Pal Gautam joining the Congress is a proud moment for us. Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra have given a new story to the country and now the country is also accepting it with full force.
