A world class shooting range will be built in Panchkula, Rs 13.75 crore will be spent

Chandigarh, July 10 (HS). Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh has directed the officials to inform about the villages which have been included in the Municipal Corporations and the money of the Panchayats of such villages has also been transferred to the Municipal Corporations, so that the amount can be spent on the development works of those villages.

The Chief Minister was presiding over the review meeting of Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority on Wednesday. In the meeting, Rs 100 crore was approved for PMDA. The Chief Minister has directed the officials to complete the process of transferring all the properties of Haryana Urban Development Authority to Metropolitan Development Authorities as soon as possible. It was informed in the meeting that the authorities will mainly get new development works done in the dividing roads, parks, sewerage, drainage of rainwater and drinking water of the sectors and in the extended area of ​​the city, while the construction and repair work of roads inside the sectors will be done by Haryana Urban Development Authority and urban local bodies.

Major development works worth Rs 156.58 crore will be carried out by the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority during the year 2024-2025. Its outline has been prepared. A world-class shooting range will be built in Sector 32, in which an amount of Rs 13.75 crore will be spent. A budget of Rs 175 crore of the Metropolitan Development Authority has been approved in the meeting.

Dalal, Panchkula MLA and Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, Minister of State for Transport Aseem Goyal, Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Urban Planning Advisor D.S. Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary, Town and Country Planning Department Arun Kumar Gupta, Chief Administrator of Haryana Urban Development Authority T.L. Satyaprakash, Chief Executive Officer of Panchkula Metropolitan Authority K. Makarand Pandurang and Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg were present in the meeting.
