Anuppur, July 13 (HS). The police has solved the case of suspicious death of a 27-year-old woman living in a rented house near Khamparia pond in the city under Kotwali police station area within a few hours. After the family expressed the suspicion of murder, Kotwali police station in-charge Arvind Jain and sub-inspector Sanjay Khalko, on suspicion of continuous harassment in love affairs, took Sankalp Singh son of Govind Singh Parihar resident of village Barbaspur and Satan Prajapati son of Dhaniram Prajapati resident of village Damna into custody and on interrogation, a case was registered against both of them under section 108, 238 and 3 (5) of Indian Penal Code BNS 2023 in the case of continuous harassment between two lovers and suicide by hanging. Both the accused have been arrested.

Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Pawar said that the cause of death of the woman Vindeshwari alias Neha, wife of Saurabh Shivhare, was found to be hanging in the post-mortem report. On which Kotwali Inspector Arvind Jain and Sub-Inspector Sanjay Khalkon connected the old cases related to the deceased and the new link with the help of cyber cell, which revealed that the deceased Vindeshwari Rathore, resident of Kolmi, was married to Saurabh Shivhare, resident of Funaga, in the year 2015. After which in the year 2020-21, Vindeshwari separated from her husband and started living in Anuppur. After living separately from her husband, Vindeshwari alias Neha started working in Nitin Pakde's shop, where she became friends with 28-year-old Satan Prajapati working in the shop and both of them started loving each other. But after a few days, Vindeshwari Rathore became friends with Sankalp Singh Parihar. As the friendship with Sankalp grew, Satan Prajapati was constantly pressurizing and harassing her. On which the deceased had registered a case of rape against Sankalp on 15 March. The case is pending in the court, in which the deceased had to give her testimony in the court, but Sankalp Singh Parihar was constantly harassing Vindeshwari Rathore by threatening her to change her statement in his favor.
A woman committed suicide due to harassment
Being harassed by Satan Prajapati and Sankalp Singh, on the intervening night of 11th and 12th July, she hanged herself in the rented house of Ramakant Pandey by making a noose of her dupatta. Before hanging herself, she informed Satan Prajapati and Sankalp Singh about her intention to commit suicide by hanging herself. Thereafter, Satan Prajapati immediately reached the house of the deceased Vindeshwari, where Vindeshwari was hanging in her room. During this time, Satan Prajapati cut the dupatta with a knife, left the body on the ground and fled.
Superintendent of Police Anuppur Jitendra Singh Pawar said that during the investigation it was found that the deceased had relations with two people and she committed suicide by hanging herself due to harassment from both of them. A case has been registered against both the accused and they have been arrested.
