A well collapsed during digging in Lohardaga, 4 workers died

Lohardaga, 23 May (Hindustan Reporter). Four laborers were buried to death when a well under construction collapsed in Chitri Ambatoli of Senha police station area of ​​Lohardaga district on Thursday. The team engaged in relief and rescue work pulled out the bodies of all four from the soil.

The digging of the well of MNREGA beneficiary Aslam Ansari was going on near Amba Bari of Chitri Ambatoli in Senha police station area. During this time, the soil above collapsed. Four workers working inside the well got buried in it. As soon as the information of the incident was received, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Prasad Krishna Waghmare, SDO Amit Kumar along with many administrative and police officers reached the spot and started the rescue operation. JCB machines were called to take out the workers buried in the soil. After a lot of hard work, the bodies of all four were taken out.

The deceased include Aslam Ansari's 35-year-old son Abu Rehan Ansari, 21-year-old daughter Shabnam Khatoon, 35-year-old Ramzan Ansari alias Bablu Ansari and Bhagat, resident of Garadih under Cairo police station area.

The district administration has promised financial help to the families of the deceased and has assured them of all possible help. At present, all the bodies have been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
