A truck broke the wall and entered the society premises, killing a teenager, injuring six

MUMBAI: A truck carrying a cement concrete mixer rammed into the compound wall of a society in Mumbra on Saturday night, killing a 14-year-old boy. Six occupants were injured and critically injured.

At around 9 pm, on Mumbra bypass, the truck driver lost control of the truck and it hit the compound wall of the adjacent building and overturned.

In this incident, Nasir Sheikh (14 years) died. While Vishal Sonawane (25 years), Aashiq Inamdar (15 years), Prabhakar Shaliyan (48 years), Abdul Wafa (50 years), Farid Sheikh (54 years) and Asha Daghvade (58 years) were injured.

As soon as the information about this incident was received, the disaster management team, fire department along with Mumbra police immediately reached the spot.

All the injured were rushed to the hospital. Where during medical examination a 14-year-old boy was declared dead. While the other injured were admitted for treatment.

According to the initial investigation of the police, the driver lost control of the truck loaded with cement concrete and the truck broke the compound wall and entered the Prathamesh Society. At that time many residents were present below in the society. Seven local residents were injured in this incident. One of them died.
