A very wonderful and big good news has emerged for the residents and daily travelers of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A very ambitious project has been approved to eliminate the problem of increasing traffic pressure and severe traffic jams that occur daily on Amar Shaheed Path, which is the lifeline of the city. Now, on the special initiative of local MP and country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, a new 24 km long elevated corridor is going to be built above Shaheed Path. After the implementation of this magnificent infrastructure project, the journey to Lucknow will not only be easier but will also save a lot of time.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s dream project: Jam will get permanent parcha
The blueprint of this big project has been prepared as part of efforts to make Lucknow’s local development and connectivity global level. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh himself has given impetus to this scheme in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Considering the huge increase in the number of vehicles on the Ring Road and Shaheed Path within the city, this new elevated corridor will prove to be a permanent solution to the traffic problem for many decades to come.
Route and Design: Know from where to where the new corridor will be built
This 24 km long elevated corridor to be built on Shaheed Path will mainly cover the distance starting from Transport Nagar (Kanpur Road) to Kamta Tiraha (Faizabad Road/Ayodhya Road). Under this project, special ramps (ascents and descents) will be built near major intersections and heavy congestion points such as Sushant Golf City, Lulu Mall, Ahimamau, Hazratganj Exit Road and Gomti Nagar Extension. Due to this, local residents will not face any problem in commuting on this expressway-like corridor and through-traffic will be able to pass directly without stopping.
Lulu Mall, Sushant Golf City and Gomti Nagar will get the biggest benefit.
The construction of this new elevated corridor is going to provide maximum relief to the residents of the fastest developing areas of Lucknow like Sushant Golf City, Gomti Nagar Extension, Ashiana and Kanpur Road. This new infrastructure will completely bypass the heavy traffic jams near Lulu Mall and Ikana Stadium during weekends and matches. With this, passengers traveling from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (Amausi Airport) to the eastern and northern ends of the city will now get direct connectivity without any red lights and interruptions.
