Detroit: The US government's road safety agency will re-examine Tesla's full self-driving system. A Tesla car that crushed a pedestrian and injured another in low light has again raised questions about its self-driving system.
The National Highway Safety Administration said it launched an investigation into the company on Thursday following reports that Teslas crashed four times after entering areas including sun glare, fog and airborne particles.
Additionally, the company had to be investigated for a fully self-driving car that ran over a pedestrian and injured another. The investigators will test the ability of a self-driving car to detect high levels of fog on a fully autonomous road and respond appropriately.
This investigation will include all Tesla car models from 2016 to 2024. Tesla has sold a total of 24 lakh cars during this period. Regarding this, Tesla said that we have repeatedly said that the system does not drive the vehicle on its own and the car driver should be ready for intervention at all times.
