A study published in ERJ Open Research suggests that eating green vegetables may reduce the risk of sleep disorders

To stay healthy, it is advised to eat green vegetables, fruits, dry fruits and whole grains. A study showed that it also reduces the risk of the sleep disorder obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). This revision has been published in ERJ Open Research. It states that people who consume sugary liquids, fried foods, and high-salt foods are more likely to develop OSA. This modification has been done by Australian scientists.

Obstructive sleep apnea is the most common sleep-related disorder. It is of different types. Obstructive sleep apnea occurs when the throat muscles become numb and block the airway. This happens intermittently several times during sleep. Snoring is a sign of obstructive sleep apnea. The person suffering from this sometimes suffers from high blood pressure problem at night and is also at risk of other heart related diseases and type-2 diabetes.

This is a major revision regarding the association between plant-based diets and obstructive sleep apnea. Researchers say the study findings indicate that consuming a plant-based health food may reduce the risk of obstructive sleep apnea. It also helps in curing OSO.
