A state-of-the-art skill center for the textile sector will be built in Jabalpur: Chief Minister

Bhopal, 20 July (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that new industries will be started in Madhya Pradesh in the field of textile, tank manufacturing for defense institutions, pharma sector and tourism. He said that a very modern skill center will be started in the textile sector in Jabalpur, which will provide employment especially to women.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Regional Industry Conclave organized in Jabalpur on Saturday. On this occasion, he also made important announcements related to industries. Many prominent industrialists from the country and abroad participated in the conclave.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated 29 industrial units of the state and performed bhoomi pujan of 38 industrial units in the conclave. Public representatives from 10 different places of the state joined the inauguration and bhoomi pujan program. A total investment of Rs 1500 crore will be made in these and 4500 people will get employment. Letters of intent were handed over to the industrial units, which will provide employment to about 12 thousand people. Letters of intent were handed over for the allotment of a total of 340 acres of land. IT, ITES and ESDM Policy 2023 was also released in the conclave.

Ashok Leyland agreement

In the presence of the Chief Minister, an agreement was signed between Ashok Leyland and Armored Vehicle Corporation Limited for an investment of Rs 600 crore at the conclave. This is an important investment in the field of defense production. Referring to the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that India has created a distinct identity in the world. He said that till now cannon manufacturing work has been going on for the defense establishment in Madhya Pradesh. Now tanks will also be made here for the army.

He said that a total of 517 small, medium and micro industries invested Rs. 6,750 crores through 16 industrial parks in the state. The benefit of which has been received in the form of employment to 20,000 people. Today, the inauguration and bhoomi pujan of 67 industrial units is an important integrated effort. Ministers, MPs, MLAs from 10 places of the state joined this program through virtual medium.

The Chief Minister said that today in the conclave, many departments have given information about industry friendly policies. After Orissa, Madhya Pradesh is in second place in the field of minerals. Madhya Pradesh's transparent process in the auction of mines is considered leading in the country. For this, an award was also given by the Government of India. Diamonds are produced in the state, now the work of cutting diamonds will also be done.

Invitation to industrialists to visit Madhya Pradesh

The Chief Minister called upon industrialists to come to Madhya Pradesh. He said that Madhya Pradesh has encouraging policies in the field of labour as well. Many new works are being done in the field of education and health. The state has dense forest area. Possibilities will be realised in this area as well. 275 units are working in the pharmaceutical sector. There are 60 units in Pithampur alone. Pharma products are exported from our state to more than 160 countries.

He said that we are ready for 150 percent encouragement in the field of food processing. Special relief has been provided to the industries on the supply of water and electricity in the state. Two mega food parks are coming up. Eight food parks are already operational. The number of such units will be continuously increased. The Chief Minister requested the MD of Volvo Eicher to also start a research center in Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minister initially inaugurated and observed the exhibition related to the development of industries. Details of products produced by various small scale industrial units and businessmen under Jabalpur Haat were given in the exhibition.

At the beginning of the inaugural session, Raghvendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Minister of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, welcomed various industrialists. Among the guests present were officials of many other industry organizations including Adani Power, Netlink, Baidyanath Group, Daawat Foods, Volvo Eicher, AVNL, NCL, Swaraj Shooting, Lohia Energy, Adishakti Rice Mill, Phoenix Poultry, Infovision Dubai and Dalit Chamber of Commerce (DICCI).

On the occasion of the inauguration of the conclave, the guests were welcomed and a short film focusing on the specialties of Madhya Pradesh was screened. More than four thousand investors gathered at the Regional Industry Conclave in Jabalpur. One-to-one discussions were also held with entrepreneurs for investment. The conclave focused on five sectors agro, mines, defense, tourism and garments industry.
