A speeding bus collided with a truck, the truck went out of control and overturned.

Varanasi, 16 November (HS). A speeding bus collided with a truck on Varanasi Jaunpur Highway on Saturday evening near Kaitholi of Phulpur police station area. As soon as the collision occurred, the truck went out of control and overturned. The drivers of both the vehicles were injured in the accident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and after sending both the injured to the hospital, they brought the vehicles to the side of the road. The truck was coming towards Varanasi loaded with packets of rice from Sultanpur.

After the accident, the rice loaded on the vehicle got scattered on the road. The injured truck driver and assistant Balram Dixit is a resident of Haidergarh, Barabanki. The bus was said to be contracted with Roadways. According to Phulpur police, the truck driver and the helper suffered serious injuries. Both are undergoing treatment.
