Ranchi, 05 November (HS). Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested a smuggler with ganja from platform number two of Hatia station. The name of the arrested smuggler is Naveen Kumar. He is a resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Seven packets of ganja were recovered from it.
Hatia Post Commander Rupesh Kumar said on Tuesday that on the instructions of RPF Divisional Security Commissioner Pawan Kumar, a continuous campaign is being conducted against ganja smugglers in Ranchi division. In the same sequence, while checking at Hatia station, a person was seen sitting in a suspicious condition with a trolley bag on platform number 2. On examining the bag, seven packets of ganja were recovered. The estimated value of the recovered ganja was said to be Rs 70 thousand. ASI Ravi Shekhar handed over the seized ganja and smuggler to GRP Hatia.
