A ship sank in the sea near Oman, 16 crew members including 13 Indians missing

Oil tanker capsized in Oman: A big news is coming out from Oman, according to which an oil tanker ship going to Yemen has sunk in the sea. According to Oman's Maritime Security Center, 16 crew members aboard the oil tanker, called Prestige Falcon, are yet to be traced. Of the 16 crew members aboard the oil tanker, 13 are Indian citizens and three are said to be Sri Lankan citizens, but their whereabouts and condition are unknown.

According to Oman's Maritime Safety Center, the oil ship was flying the flag of the East African country Comoros. The oil tanker sank on Tuesday near Oman's main industrial port Duqm and the crew members are yet to be found.

The ship was headed to Yemen

It is being told that the tanker was going towards Yemen when it overturned near the Duqm port. As soon as the tanker overturned, the local authorities started a search and rescue operation, but according to the latest information, nothing has been known about the people on board the tanker yet. It is being said in media reports that the tanker that sank is about 117 meters long and was built in the year 2017.

As soon as the information was received, the officials started rescue work

The Maritime Safety Centre tweeted that the Comoros-flagged oil tanker sank 25nm southeast of Ras Madarkah. Investigation has been launched in accordance with the necessary guidelines for its investigation and rescue.
