A Punjabi soldier has been martyred in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Not only this, apart from Tejpal, another Indian has been martyred in this war. The deceased has been identified as Tejpal Singh, a resident of Amritsar. His age is said to be 30 years.
Tejpal got married in 2017 and has a 6-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter. Family members said that Tejpal had earlier tried to join the Indian Army but he could not do so. So later he decided to go abroad. He went to Russia on a tourist visa on January 12 and was forcibly recruited in the Russian army.
The deceased's wife said that on March 3, Tejpal called and said that he would not be able to talk on the phone for a few days as he was going to fight in the war and when his call did not come for a long time, Parminder called the Russian army chief's office where she came to know about Tejpal's death.
