Dumka, 27 August (HS). A case of murder of 55-year-old Santlal Mohli due to old enmity has come to light in Lodhra village of Saraiyahat police station area of the district. Police recovered the body, got it post-mortem done and handed it over to the family. Also, taking immediate action, one accused has been arrested.
Regarding the matter, the deceased's daughter Birma Devi has filed a murder case against three people by giving an application in the police station. The deceased's daughter has told in her application that on Tuesday morning the villagers called her and told her that the body of her father Santlal Mohli was thrown in the bushes of the village. She told that last night her father had gone to eat a feast at the house of his relatives in the village. During that time, Tuna Dumri, Sonwa Dumri and Khalifa Dumri of the same village first made her father drink alcohol and then strangled him with a rope and killed him and threw the body in the bushes.
According to the information, the deceased has no son. He has four daughters, all of whom are married. It is being said that he was murdered to grab land.
