Ghaziabad, 12 July (HS). SWAT team has arrested Asif who provided weapons and informed the accused who murdered a father and son after a dispute between two parties over water supply in the garden in the jungle of Khindoda village of Niwari police station area. A reward of Rs. 50 thousand was declared on his arrest.
DCP Rural Vivek Chandra Yadav said that accused Asif had provided two pistols to Sudhir Tyagi's side and also informed about Pappu and his sons coming on bike. He had helped Sudhir Tyagi's side in this dispute. Before the incident, Asif had provided two pistols to Sudhir's son Mohit alias Badshah and also informed about Pappu going on bike with his sons. On the basis of the information, Sudhir's side blocked their way and then killed Pappu and one of his sons by firing indiscriminately. Pappu's other son Chand was seriously injured.
He told that Pappu Qureshi, a resident of Johnny police station area of Meerut, had taken the orchard of Vedprakash Tyagi, a resident of Khindoda village, on contract. On the evening of 21st June, Pappu Qureshi was watering the orchards from the canal along with his two sons Shahnawaz alias Raja and Chand. He had a dispute with Sudhir Tyagi, the owner of the neighbouring orchard. Late night when Pappu was going home on a bike with his two sons, people from Sudhir Tyagi's side opened fire on them. Raja died on the spot, while Chand escaped after being hit by five bullets. He was admitted to a hospital in Meerut in critical condition. Pappu's body was found from the canal on the morning of 22nd June. On the morning of 22nd June, an FIR was registered in Niwari police station on the complaint of Bilal. On the same day, Sudhir Tyagi, Sudhir Tyagi's son Bittu and Deepak, who were named in the case, were arrested. Mohit alias Badshah son of Sudhir and Lovely son of Sanjeev were arrested on 27 June. The police announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for the arrest of two other accused. Deepak, who was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, was also arrested on 8 July. Now the police have arrested Asif, resident of Khindoda, another absconding accused with a reward of Rs 50,000.
