East Champaran, August 19 (HS). On Sunday, based on a secret information, the Banjaria police station of the district conducted a raid and arrested a smuggler with ganja loaded in a stolen car.
The arrested smuggler is said to be Mohd. Wahab, a resident of Birganj, Nepal. Banjaria police station in-charge Indrajit Paswan said that secret information was received that ganja was being smuggled from Nepal. Based on the information, the car was stopped near Singhia Gumti Overbridge in the police station area and searched. During this, 21.400 kg of ganja was recovered from the car.
After which the smuggler was arrested. Also, during investigation it was found that the car used in smuggling was stolen. During interrogation, the arrested smuggler made many important revelations. On this basis, further action is being taken.
