IT Raid in Mumbai After the Enforcement Directorate found 35 crores in cash in Jharkhand, now a mountain of notes has been found in Nashik, Gujarat's neighboring state Maharashtra. The Income Tax Department team has raided Surana Jewelers and Mahalaxmi Builders located at Canada Corner in Nashik.

This action has been taken after the Income Tax Department team received information about the company owner's alleged involvement in unaccounted transactions. The department raided the residence of the owner of Surana Jewelers and construction company Mahalaxmi Builders, seizing about Rs 26 crore in cash and documents of unaccounted assets worth Rs 90 crore. The Income Tax Department team has simultaneously raided the jewelry store and the owner's residence on Saturday morning. Officials are investigating financial records, transaction data and documents throughout the day.
35 crore cash recovered during ED raid in Jharkhand

Earlier last month, Rs 35 crore in cash was recovered in an ED raid in Jharkhand. Rs 35 crore was recovered from the house of 9 people including Sanjeev Lal, personal secretary of Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam (Alamgir Alam) and Jahangir Alam, who used to work at Sanjeev Lal and Alam's house, in the raid conducted there.
