Saharsa, 1 August (HS). Under the banner of Bihar Medical Public Health Employees Union, NHM employees of the Health Department, CHO, ANM A grade family planning counselors on contract have been boycotting work for the past few days regarding their various demands on Thursday. In this sequence, today the agitating workers staged a fierce demonstration and marched from the District Health Committee to the Civil Surgeon's office via Sadar Hospital. Here everyone raised slogans regarding their demands. Also, a memorandum was given to the Civil Surgeon cum Member Secretary District Health Committee regarding their 12 point demands. The main demands include equal pay for equal work, immediate cancellation of the order of registering attendance through FRAS method, giving the status of state employees to NHM workers, security guarantee of women workers in accordance with the Vishaka Judgment, implementation of the recommendation of the high level committee headed by Ashok Chaudhary, etc.

On this occasion, President of Bihar Medical Public Health Employees Union, Nand Kumar Khan, District Minister Dharmendra Kumar, Saavan Karna, Abhishek Kumar Singh, Kumar Priyanshu, Abhishek Mishra, Pawan Kishore Singh, Sanjay Mohanty, President of Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation, Prabhat Kumar Singh, District Minister Sharad Kumar, Convenor of CHO Union Dinesh, Vishwajeet, Dinesh Chaudhary, Ajmal, Savita Baski, Seema Kumari, Pooja, Chandan, Mahendra, Abhimanyu, Shubham, Vishwajeet, Rupa Chaudhary and others were present.
