A mechanic who was laying interlocking tiles on the highway was crushed by a trolley. He died after the trolley passed over both his legs.

Jalalabad: Late evening, the sad news has been received that a mason died during treatment after being crushed by a trailer driver near Shaheed Udham Singh Chowk on the side of the main highway. According to the information, sewage was found here recently and during this time repair work of the dug road was going on. Interlock tiles are being laid here.

Meanwhile, a trailer coming from Fazilka crushed the mason and he was seriously injured. The injured mason has been identified as Harbhajan Singh, son of Resham Singh, resident of Chak Araiyawala (Faliawala). Mason Harbhajan Singh, who was injured in the accident, has been admitted to the local government hospital for treatment. According to the information received from the spot, mason Harbhajan Singh died during treatment after the trailer passed over both his legs. In connection with this incident, the police of Jalalabad police station, based on the statements of the relatives of the deceased, have registered a case against the truck driver, conducted post-mortem of the body and handed it over to the heirs.
