Jagdalpur, 13 November (HS). A massive fire suddenly broke out in a gunny warehouse at around 12:30 last night in Adawal area under Bodhghat police station area of the district, due to which all the gunny bags kept in the warehouse were burnt to ashes. Everyone was sleeping in a house next to the sack warehouse, people nearby raised an alarm, after which the people living in the house were woken up by throwing stones. Due to which there was no loss of life of any kind. As soon as the information about the fire in the gunny warehouse was received, the fire brigade team immediately reached the spot and after a lot of hard work, the fire could be controlled.
It is noteworthy that after this major accident that took place in the entire state as well as in Bastar district, a day before the paddy procurement starting from 14th November, its impact on the paddy procurement will be known in the future. According to the information received, the cause of the fire is said to be burning of firecrackers near the warehouse, the police is investigating the incident.
