A massive fire broke out due to boiler explosion in a chemical company in Dombivali, Maharashtra, six people died

Mumbai, 23 May (Hindustan Reporter). On Thursday afternoon, a massive explosion and massive fire broke out due to a boiler explosion at Amudan Chemical Company located in Sonarpada in MIDC area of ​​Dombivali, Maharashtra. So far six people have died due to fire in the chemical company. 34 injured are being treated in various hospitals of Dombivali, out of which four have been kept in ICU.

A fire broke out in Amudan Chemical Company located in Dombivli MIDC's Phase No. 2 after three boilers exploded one after the other. The fire spread so fast that it engulfed four other nearby companies as well. When the explosion took place, more than 50 workers were working in the company at that time, but some workers came out safely after hearing the blast. 48 injured in this incident have been immediately admitted to various hospitals. The fire brigade personnel have so far recovered six bodies from the company, including two women and four men. About ten injured have been sent home after treatment.

The fire that broke out in Amudan Company also engulfed the showrooms of nearby Metropolitan Company, KG Company, Amber Chemical Company and Hyundai Company, due to which many vehicles were burnt to ashes. Personnel from Kalyan East, Kalyan West, Palava MIDC and Thane Fire Brigade have reached the spot and are trying to extinguish the fire, but the fire is still not under control. Fire officials said that due to chemical fire, there is great difficulty in extinguishing the fire.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that so far six people have died in the fire following the explosion at Amudan Chemical Company in Dombivali. So far 48 injured in this incident have been admitted to various hospitals of the city. NDRF, SDRF and TDRF personnel along with the fire brigade are trying to control the fire on the spot.
