A major accident was averted due to the presence of mind of the helicopter pilot in Kedarnath Dham of Uttarakhand. The helicopter had to make an emergency landing due to technical fault in Kedarnath. There were 6 passengers in the helicopter. However, there was no loss of life or property in this accident. Disaster Management Officer of Rudraprayag said that the helicopter was going to Kedarnath Dham from Sirsi helipad with 5 passengers. Meanwhile, a helicopter of Central Aviation Company suddenly developed a technical fault. After this, at 7:05 pm, the helicopter had to make an emergency landing about 100 meters before the Kedarnath Dham helipad.
During landing, the helicopter was brought straight to the ground. Meanwhile, the rear part of the helicopter got damaged, but all the passengers were evacuated safely. After receiving information about this incident from DJCA, the team has started investigating the accident. The officer quoted the helicopter pilot as saying that all the passengers on board the helicopter are safe. The passengers heaved a sigh of relief after the safe landing of the helicopter.

Before the Chardham Yatra started on 10 May, 3 lakh 19 thousand pilgrims have arrived in 10 days.
