A leopard finally escaped from its cage in Gadhala village of Upleta, leading to the death of around 10 animals.

Rajkot: Rajkot district is witnessing terror of leopard since last one week, forest department has installed a cage in the limits of Gadhla village to catch the leopard, leopard has killed around 10 cattle in Gadhla and surrounding villages. On October 9 also a calf died. People were demanding that the leopard should be caged, due to which farmers and cattle herders are upset.

The former sarpanch of Garhala in Upleta taluk earlier today presented himself to the forest department officials of Upleta for capturing the leopard. After the presentation of the former Sarpanch, a cage was installed on the perimeter of the fort by the Upleta Forest Department. The forest department made many efforts to cage the calf and catch the leopard.

Eventually the panther, which was harassing the shepherds and farmers, was imprisoned in a cage. Farmers, villagers and shepherds heaved a sigh of relief when the leopard's cage was removed.
