Gujarati youth arrested in America: Meet Patel, a Gujarati gas station clerk in Tennessee, has been arrested for stealing a $1 million lottery ticket. He tried to take someone else's lottery prize for himself. He was caught on camera stealing the lottery ticket by telling the lottery winner that he did not win the lottery.
The lottery winner purchased two $20 Diamond and Gold scratch lottery tickets from Meet Patel, 23, at a Shell station in Murphysboro. He allowed Meet Patel to check the tickets. Meet Patel returned one of his tickets, which had a $40 prize. He then returned another ticket that won a $1 million prize. Meet Patel falsely told the winner that he did not win any prize.
Investigating the incident, detective Steve Craig said, 'Miley Patel took the lottery winner's ticket and threw it in the dustbin saying that he did not win any prize. After this the lottery winner left, then Meet picked up the lottery ticket from the dustbin. Their actions were captured on camera. He took the ticket to the lottery commission agent and claimed the lottery to be his. However, his theft was caught and now he will be produced in court.
