Mumbai: A devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba gifted a gold crown worth Rs 43 lakh to Baba. This gold crown weighs 648 grams. The devotee who donated the crown requested that his name be kept secret.
Sai Baba's idol was crowned at Sai Samadhi during the Aarti on Sunday morning. Shirdi Sai Sansthan CEO Goraksha Gadilkar said that the person who donated the crown has requested that his name be kept confidential. Therefore, his name has not been disclosed.
Shirdi Saibaba Temple is considered one of the richest temples in the country. Devotees donate Rs 450 crore every year to the temple. The temple treasury has about 400 kg of gold and 4,428 kg of silver. The institution has Rs 1800 crore deposited in banks. The process of donations continues continuously.
