Breta: There is news of the tragic death of an 18-year-old girl due to snake bite in the nearby village Khatriwala. The deceased has been identified as Jyoti Kaur, daughter of Major Singh who belongs to a daily wage labourer family.
Jyoti's mother Kiranpal Kaur and father Major Singh gave information with teary eyes that Jyoti was the middle daughter among their three children, who was bitten by a snake. We immediately took her to the government hospital Budhlada for treatment where the doctors declared her dead.
He further said with a heavy heart that just a day before, his beloved daughter had taken admission in the government college of Bahadurpur village near Chain-Chain for further studies after 12th, but she did not get a chance to go to college. Ajaib Singh of deceased Jyoti and Karnail Singh of the village said that after biting, the snake hid on the edge of the fridge, due to which the fridge broke and he died.
