Mumbai: Delissa Perera, a female doctor of Vasai’s Cardinal Gracious Hospital, committed suicide by hanging herself. In the suicide note written by the doctor, it is written that her husband has immoral relations and tortures her physically and mentally. After this incident, the police arrested Delisa Perera’s husband Royal Perera on charges of attempting suicide on Wednesday night.
Dr. Delissa Perera, 39, resident of Vasai, lived in Sonarbhat, Papdi with her husband Royal Perera and 12-year-old daughter. The woman was working as a physiotherapist at the famous Cadnal Gracious Hospital in Bangla, Vasai.
On Monday evening, he committed suicide by hanging himself in his house in Papdi. Before committing suicide, she had also gone to a church in Papdi to offer mass. Let us tell you that after this he also met the fathers of Papdi Church and he was given an envelope which contained a note. The reason behind his suicide was revealed from that note. The father gave this note to the deceased’s mother, Dr. Delissa Perera. In this regard, he lodged a complaint at Vasai Police Station.
Details of suicide note
Husband Royal Perera had an immoral relationship with a woman. Due to which he used to torture Dr. Delisa physically and mentally. In the note, Ndelisa wrote that between 26 November 2024 and 6 January 2025, Royal abused her physically and mentally. In this case, Vasai Police has registered a case against the accused Royal under sections 108, 115 (2) 351 (3) of the Indian Penal Code for attempt to commit suicide.
Giving information about this, Vasai Police Station Police Officer Balkrishna Ghadigavkar said that we have arrested the accused Royal Perera on the basis of the suicide note.
