Hathras, 28 July (HS). A double decker bus carrying devotees from Rajasthan to take a holy dip in the Ganga met with an accident in Hasayan police station area. 16 devotees were injured in the accident. The police have admitted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A double decker bus was carrying devotees from Gangapur in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan to Soronji Kachla Ghat. As soon as the bus reached the industrial area of Rati ka Nagla in Thana Hasayan area of Hathras district, it went out of control and overturned on the side of the road. As soon as the bus overturned, there was screaming and shouting among the devotees. The police reached the spot and rescued all the injured trapped in the bus and admitted them to the trauma center of Sikandrarao. From here, the doctors referred many injured after seeing their serious condition.
On getting information about the accident, Additional Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar reached the spot and inspected the scene. He said that 16 people were injured in the bus accident and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
