A crowd of devotees gathered during the New Year morning aarti to have darshan of the first Jyotirlinga, Somnath Mahadev.

On the first day of Vikram Samvat 2081, there is a rush of devotees to have darshan of the first Jyotirlinga Somnath Mahadev. Devotees from India and abroad are feeling blessed after having darshan of Somnath Mahadev early in the morning. Somnath Mahadev means giver of peace, Lord Shiva which means welfare, devotees are praying to him for the welfare and happiness of the whole world.

Devotees pray for peace, progress, well-being and healthy life by observing the first adornment of the year and the morning aarti of Somnath Mahadev. Also, they are leaving the festival at the border and going for duty. Devotees are praying to Mahadev for the servants and protectors of the public including doctors, police.
